This is what life looks like now, teaching lots of yoga online to kids and families. Far away, but so close- they’re in your home.
*
I’ve found myself turning inward these past few weeks, focusing on making space- physically, emotionally, mentally… as the forced “stay at home” gave me space to do so. I’ve also been teaching the whole time…and yet teaching online is hard and vulnerable and my introvert self feels anxiety every time I start class. But here’s the thing- I love what I do. I believe in the practice of yoga and it’s benefits for young, old, happy, scared, all shapes and sizes. And sharing the practice with families during these uncertain times is important. So I keep doing it, because it matters and even if it helps one little person or gives that mom or dad a break, then it’s worth getting out of the way to do the work.

As J’s mom said, “honestly this is the only 90 minutes of my week where [he] is really engaged with another activity that I dont need to be on top of so we both love it!” ?
*
I have SIX classes on the schedule, one is bi- weekly, but still. And I think I’m going to add another one for adults only- a restorative for parents after their kids go to sleep (finally). I’m also doing private sessions for individuals and groups. I’m here to help, however I can.

One Day at a Time, Online Offerings
Dear friends and families-
While our in person classes are on hold, we’d like to offer support and community during these unfamiliar times by offering online classes, live via Zoom beginning this Wednesday, March 11 at 10:30am.
We will meet at the following times:
– Wednesday mornings, 10:30-11:30am, for crawlers to up
– Friday mornings, 10:30-11:30am, for crawlers and up
– Sunday afternoons, 4:30-5:30pm, for 4 years and up
We are trying to follow our weekly schedule so those of you that have been joining us in person, can continue to do so. We’ve combined Tuesday’s class into our Wednesday class for ease.
We’re asking for $15, with a sliding scale for those that need it. Please pay what you can, as it helps support the work we’re doing and those that are struggling right now. We’re accepting payments via our site, link ??or Venmo. Once you register, you’ll receive the link via email confirmation.
We hope to restart our Afterschool classes with our respective schools in a couple weeks, if allowed. We are also looking to add a Mindful Art class as well.
Please note that online, private restorative and meditation sessions for individuals and families are available, email or message us if interested.
Lastly, please share this with friends, family, community that may need a place to connect, practice some yoga, take deep breaths, have some fun and laugh- all necessary practices during uncertain times. May we all be safe and healthy. May we be kind and compassionate towards ourselves and all beings. May the benefits of our practice together help all beings everywhere.
